High School Ministry

As students enter High School, they begin to shift gears into young adulthood.  They gain more responsibility and start thinking more about their future.  High School is also often the time when students start thinking more about life in spiritual terms as they sort out their faith and beliefs.

Our goal at ISM is to meet High School students where they are spiritually, intellectually and socially.  Our weekly Sunday evening program is designed with high School students and their busy schedules in mind.  Each week, we engage in inspiring worship, challenging teaching and life applicable small groups.

Six week series begins April 15th

The message titles are below. If you would like more information on each weeks message, please feel free to contact us and we’d be happy to share more about what we teach during this series.

Week One:  What is Love Anyway?

We will be looking at the biblical types of love in addition to what love isn’t compared to what society says.

Week Two:  Creative Dating

We are looking at myths about dating as well as how to get the most out of dating.

Week Three:  Created in God’s Image

Students will learn about how God has created us and why it’s important to look at what the Bible says instead of what culture says.

Week Four:  God’s Word on Sex

Students will learn what God’s Word specifically says about their sexuality.

Week Five:  Sex is So Much Bigger Than I Thought!

We will be teaching about the short term and long term outlooks on sexuality in addition to how sexuality is not just physical, it’s spiritual.

Week Six:  Messing Up to Making Up

 Students will learn about the restorative grace God offers them.
